30 June 2009

It's been way too long since I have last posted on here.
The purpose of this post isn't an update and reconciliation with this blog, instead it's more of a notice.

I have decided to stop having a personal blog since I'm hardly available to update something as such. More over, I just have nothing to say on here anymore.
So as of today this personal blog of mine is official closed.

HOWEVER,
I do own another blog in this online realm.
It doesn't speak that much of my personal life, instead it's more beauty related. Talking about reviews on products, tutorials, etc.
If you are interested to check that out,

Thanks for reading.

It is amazing what a ton of sleep can do to your skin.
Incase you're wondering, I haven't exactly updated this spot because I had been having my internship but for the past 2 days, (namely today and yesterday) I had been feeling under the weather and was told by my doctor that I had a throat inflammation, thus the fever and thus the muscle aches that ensued.
So for the whole of yesterday and for the most part of today, I had been lazing in my bed sleeping away and I swear, I probably had chalked up 20 or so hours of sleep already. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get my point.
And now, my skin feels ultra smooth it's so scary.
Those of you who know that I have eczema, well, the little bits of rash that I have have more or less completely disappeared into my skin. Talk about a miracle worker.

I guess that really proves what our parents and doctors constantly nag at us.
Sleep is good for you (:

I just wanted to update this real quick while I'm not being sedated by medication. I'll be heading off to lay my head down for a bit, it's feeling pretty heavy right now. Goodbye people, I'll try to keep this alive, try.

Omg, it's been EONS since I've last updated and I do have a valid reason for that.
It's because I'm having my internship now and I've been busy trying to keep my sleeping habits in check. No more sleeping at 4am and waking up at 11pm or whatever anymore. Bedtime is strictly before 12 am right now.
It sure takes getting used to, but alls good (:

Also, internship is alright I guess.
For those wondering, I'm working or rather interning at a Design Studio somewhere about Chinatown. I'm not going to reveal the company and all, for personal reasons I guess, but yeap.

On a sidenote, I've changed my desktop wallpaper to this:

I know this isn't massively original because I honestly didn't want to spend forever on it. I just took the image from MAC's collection posters and 'enlarged' the grey-ish portion, threw in some swirls and that's about it (:

Okay so I'm super stoked, and also a bit irritated at the same time, but more stoked then irritated.
The reason for that is because I've just downloaded Breaking Dawn (the pdf version) to read since the physical version aka the book is currently sold out everywhere I go.
For those who don't know, Breaking Dawn is the final of four books in the Twilight saga that has pretty much caught the world by storm.
I'd like to say that it is fairly funny since the last I remembered, when I bought Twilight two years ago, it was under the children's section in a secluded little corner and the sales people knew nothing about Stephenie Meyer or Twilight that they had to check the database to see if they even stock that book at all.
Ha.
How times have changed...

Weird thing is even though I've read Twilight and New Moon almost two years ago, I never really continued with Eclipse, and the new Breaking Dawn because I've always been way too busy to care.
And now when I actually finally care, it's freaking sold out.
Thank god I did manage to get my hands on a copy of Eclipse, however I'm guessing the physical copy of Breaking Dawn would have to wait.

For those who follow and have read Breaking Dawn, I'm pretty sure you'll agree that this is the most important book, or at least the most looked forward to.

Yet another survey/questionnaire because I don't know what else to say except I'm having my holidays now!

FAITH
1. What religion do you follow?
I worship the trees... according to bby.

2. What religion were you raised as?
None.

3. Do you believe that forgiveness is a religious property, or a human property?
Human.

4. Do you believe in magic?
No, not really.

5. What was the last promise you broke?
Hm...

7. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect?
No. It's not possible, never in a million years.

HOPE
1. Did you get everything you wanted over the last holiday season?
Not entirely, but most of it, yes.

2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for?
A job, good money, good health? Sounds so cheesy but that's honestly what everyone is living for isn't it?

3. Do you let yourself get your hopes up for something even if you know that there is a large chance of failure?
Yes. So many times I can't even begin to tell you.

4. Have you ever bought a lottery ticket?
Nope, never was of age until this year and I haven't tried.

5. Do you gamble?
Yes, but only during holiday seasons for those family stuff.

6. Have you ever had something called off on account of bad weather, but then gone ahead and done it anyway?
Most probably yes.

CHARITY
1. What causes do you support?
None that I support avidly but I do support 'To Write Love On Her Arms' because I've been there...

2. What causes have you given money or time to?
Quite a few, don't remember all.

3. Have you ever worked in a soup kitchen or done another kind of outreach for the homeless?
Nope.

4. Would you ever consider joining the Peace Corps, Amnesty International, or another travel-inherent worldwide charity group?
No, I'm sorry.

5. Do you give money to the homeless on the street?
I don't actually, it's hard to tell if they truely need it or if they are just exploiting on the kindess of people.

6. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food?
Yes.

FORTITUDE
1. What are you most afraid of?
Needles. It's not even funny what those things can do to me.

2. What did you do today that was really brave?
Ha, nothing yet... I'm still trying to think up something.

3. Who is your favorite super hero, and why?
Uh... I don't know to be honest. Not entirely into super heroes.

4. Would you put your life in danger to rescue someone?
Depends on who the person is.

5. If you were to face the Wizard of Oz, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart?
More brains. I certainly need that.

6. Have you ever gotten stage fright?
Hell yes. I've learnt to deal.

7. Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower?
Depending on the situation. I like to trade places every once in awhile, you get a better idea of what you're doing that way.

JUSTICE
1. Have you ever been summoned for jury duty?
Ha, no. I'm barely of age.

2. If they reinstituted the draft (for both genders), would you go, or would find some way out of it?
Find a way out of it.

3. Do you support capital punishment (the death penalty)?
It depends on the crime done.

4. Which should be guaranteed legal: cocaine, marijuana, heroin?
I don't know, I don't do drugs and don't see the need to so I'd just say they all shouldn't be legal.

5. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA?
It doesn't bother me either ways.

6. What was your favorite media circus trial?
I don't know.

TEMPERANCE
1. What do you have the hardest time moderating yourself on?
Coffee. ha.

Yes, quite a lot but almost nothing at the same time.

3. Are you addicted to anything?
Yes, a lot of things.

4. Have you ever put anything on layaway or used an installment plan?
Yes.

5. What's your preferred method of paying for things?
By card. I don't like carrying cash. And that's why I always tell people that hawkers should start having a nets machine or something.

6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do:
I have so many...

7. Do you feel that you obsess over things?
All the time.

PRUDENCE
1. Who is the wisest person you know?
I don't know too many wise people.

2. Have you ever participated in a vigil?
No.

3. Do you take advice when it's given?
I do consider it but the advice only sinks in when it's too late. How sad.

4. Do you drive defensively?
I am defensive, as is said.

5. Have you ever had unprotected sex outside of marriage?
Well that depends, in my dreams or in real life? ha.

6. What did you learn today?
I need to find something to do with my holidays or it'll be wasted away. OR, I need more sleep, that's for sure.

On a side note, I like being a red-head.
If possible I might just keep my hair this color for the next year or so.

1:35 PM

26 December 2008

Now you don't have to imagine me with reddish hair,
because I actually do have reddish hair now!
To be precise, my hair is now a medium auburn shade and I absolutely love it.

This is how it looks like in in-door or fluorescent lighting

(image opens in new window)

And here's how it looks in bright natural sunlight.

(image opens in new window)
And please ignore the slightly candid expression in this shot. Apparently trying to take a picture of yourself, in public, in a carpark AND infront of a void deck of ah pehs is a fairly stressful thing to do. Lol!

So, what do you guys think?
Btw, the images are not photoshopped at all, incase you're wondering.

22 December 2008

Sara with red hair.
Yes/No?

AND PLEASE... before anyone starts going 'you just want to be a hayley williams' or whatever in a negative form, please just stop yourself and go away.
I've been wanting to wear my hair red for awhile now except for the fact that bright red is not an option since I don't want orange faded hair after 2 weeks, so after much thought, I think copper-red is the way to go.
It doesn't actually fade as much and even if it does, the essence of the color would stil be in there. Just a slight bit darker, is all.

Thus, before I go on and on about my theories or whatever, here's a photoshopped image of myself with copper red hair.
I haven't colored my hair yet and don't intend to till maybe January or Feb next year.

And just for reference, here's me with normal hair aka the original image

Okay... so what's the verdict?
To stay golden-ash-brown or to go copper-red?
